Keum-boo is an ancient Korean technique of applying gold to silver. Unlike gold plating, where a thin layer of gold is deposited by a chemical or electrochemical method, the gold in Keum-boo is applied with heat and pressure to create a diffusion bond. In this case, the silver and gold share their atoms and thus a permanent bond is created. or maybe it's just magic..
